We dedicate this year’s 28th Symposium to the memory of Jerzy Dobosiewicz—a long-standing partner and Vice President of the Management Board of Pro Novum, and an eminent specialist in the field of materials diagnostics for power generation equipment—who passed away on January 15 of this year at the age of 96.
Jerzy Dobosiewicz was a man of vast knowledge, experience, and exceptional professional standing—one of the foremost pioneers of Polish materials diagnostics for power generation equipment. His body of work includes numerous patents concerning technologies for the repair, regeneration, revitalization, and maintenance of power generation equipment. He also played a key role in the success of the Polish power industry, participating in the construction and modernization of power units both domestically and abroad.
His knowledge, achievements, and contributions to the development of diagnostics for power generation equipment will remain an important part of the history of Pro Novum and the Polish power industry.
